devboxkit.com ("we", "the site") provides free browser-based developer tools: a JSON formatter/validator, Base64/URL/HTML-entity encoders/decoders, a UUID generator, a hash generator, a JWT decoder, a password generator, a JSON↔CSV converter, a Unix timestamp converter, and a regex tester. This page explains what data is and isn't collected when you use the site.
How the tools work
Every tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Anything you type or paste in — JSON, text, Base64, URLs, JWTs, timestamps, or regular expressions — is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to, or stored on, any server operated by this site. Even the password and UUID generators use your browser's own cryptographically secure random number generator, so nothing about what you generate ever leaves your machine. Closing the tab discards everything.
Cookies and advertising
This site may display advertisements served by third-party ad networks, such as Google AdSense. These networks may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or generally at aboutads.info.
Analytics
This site runs no analytics. There is no analytics beacon, no tag manager, and no pixel of any kind on any page.
The site is a set of static files on a content delivery network. It has no server-side application, no database, and no account system. You cannot sign in, because there is nothing to sign in to.
The site therefore keeps no record of who visits, what a visit loads, or what a visitor types into a tool. The hosting provider writes the usual web server logs. Nobody who operates this site reads them for analytics.
Contact
The footer of every page carries a contact link. Use that link to ask a question about this policy. The link opens your email program with the address already in the To field.
